He once again stressed that Russia was not involved in the missile incident. The diplomat also pointed to the “immediate hysteria” of Kyiv and calls to “punish” Russia after the incident. These sentiments were picked up by “Poles mad with Russophobia,” Polyansky added.
The diplomat also drew attention to the meeting on Ukraine of the UN Security Council, which is scheduled for November 16. According to him, Western countries requested the meeting last week, but did not specify a specific topic. “And then suddenly, right the day before, there was a “rocket attack” on Poland. As the hero of the famous Soviet film said, “I am again tormented by vague doubts…”,” said Polyansky.
He stated that it was “unthinkable” for the West to recognize the role of Ukraine and Poland in “this most dangerous provocation.” At the same time, according to Polyansky, the countries will again ignore the facts that point to the innocence of the Russian Federation.
Earlier today about Moscow’s non-involvement in the incident declared Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He noted that he respects the position of Russia, which stated that the fallen rocket in Poland was not Russian.
Prior to that, US President Joe Biden also named “unlikely” is the fact that the missile could have been fired from the territory of the Russian Federation. Following the meeting in connection with the incident in Poland on the sidelines of the G20 summit, the leaders of the G7 countries and NATO announced that they would support the republic in investigating the incident.
