First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN Dmitry Polyansky drew attention to the coincidence of the incident with the rocket attack on Poland and the fact that Western countries last week requested a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine for November 16, without naming the topic in advance. In his Telegram post, he also pointed out the unprecedented nature of submitting a request without specifying a subject.
“Westerners asked for it in advance, last week. And this time, for the first time, they refused to indicate a specific topic. Even then it looked suspicious, why are we going? And then all of a sudden, right the day before, there was a” missile attack “on Poland,” the Russian diplomat said.
As a commentary for this situation, Polyansky chose a quote from a movie hero – “I am again tormented by vague doubts.”
According to media reports citing American and NATO sources, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a missile launch on Polish territory, and the President of Poland, without naming the perpetrators, has already expressed confidence in the random nature of the shelling.
