Penza hockey players won the gold of the Melitopol Open Cup

On July 1 and 2 in the Zaporozhye region the first Melitopol City Open Hockey Cup was held, in which amateur teams formed from players over 40 years old participated.
Representatives of the Penza region showed excellent results in this competition. Experienced hockey players and sports veterans took first place, which is symbolic in the year of the 75th anniversary of Penza hockey.
The Penza team scored four victories, including the decisive match with the team from Arkhangelsk, in which they won with a score of 7-1. Bronze medals were received by a team from the city of Sevastopol.
Two teams from the Zaporozhye region, as well as hockey players from the Republic of Crimea and the Arkhangelsk region, participated in the competition along with the Penza athletes.
