Penza athlete won silver at the All-Russian Summer Spartakiad for the Disabled

As part of the IV All-Russian Summer Spartakiad for the Disabled-2023, a pupil of the Penza Regional Sports School in adaptive sports, Sergey Sergeev, won a silver medal.
The competition was held from 15 to 20 July in Ufa.
In the category of participants S6, which included athletes with musculoskeletal disorders, Sergey took second place in the 100 meters backstroke. His coach is Nikolai Ponomarenko.
The composition of the combined team of the Penza region also included Alexander Kholkin, Pavel Glebovsky, Maxim Gilev, Nadezhda Grusha and Ekaterina Zhukova. They showed their skills at various distances and made an outstanding competition to athletes from other regions.
The results of the Olympics showed that swimmers from the Penza region took 12th place among 22 constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the team event.
