At the stadium of the Brazilian football club Santos in Sao Paulo, a farewell ceremony for Pelé is being held, reports Reuters.

Access to the stadium will be open to everyone until 10 am on January 3. After that, Pele’s body will be carried through all the streets of the city and delivered to the Ecumenical Necropolis memorial. This is a 32-story building that is included in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest cemetery in the world.
Pele died December 29 at the age of 83. He has been battling colon cancer since 2021.
