Pegula knocks out Kvitova to advance to quarter-finals

Jessica Pegula, world No.8, easily qualified for the quarter-finals of the US Open, beating Czech Karolina Pliskova (21st) 6-3, 6-2 on Monday in New York. The 28-year-old American reaches this stage for the first time at Flushing Meadows.
