“We all went through a rather difficult hour on Saturday and Sunday. But he added that he would like to draw attention to the talk that appeared that “there are legal norms, but in some situations they may not work.”

“Moreover, some public figures here say that the legal norms “let them go through the woods”. The emotional background is clear, the situation internal and external is clear. But nevertheless, in the history of our fatherland, we had situations when we “went through the forest.” We had Gulags, and it seems to me that this happened, among other things, because we just didn’t comply with these legal norms,” Krasheninnikov noted.

According to the deputy, Russia has a fairly developed legal system, the State Duma and the Federation Council adopt normative acts, “which just contain these same legal norms, and we need to be very careful in our expressions.” “And in any case, observe the legal norms,” Krasheninnikov stressed.

On Sunday, June 26, media manager Margarita Simonyan said on the air of the Rossiya-1 TV channel that in exceptional cases, legal norms cease to fulfill the function of protecting law and order. “If in some exceptional, critical cases it turns out that legal norms cease to fulfill their function of protecting law and order and stability, and perform the reverse function, then they “go through the woods”, these legal norms,” she noted.
