Pavel Durov accused Apple of delaying Telegram update

The creator of the Telegram messenger, Pavel Durov, expressed dissatisfaction with Apple’s too long check of the messenger, due to which the application update was delayed by two weeks. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
“We are often unable to distribute new versions of Telegram due to the unclear “verification process” imposed on all mobile apps by tech monopolies. For example, our upcoming update, which is supposed to revolutionize the way people express themselves by messaging, has been stuck in Apple’s ‘review’ for two weeks with no explanation or any feedback from them,” Durov wrote.
The creator of the messenger also noted that such long checks cause direct financial damage to “hundreds of thousands of mobile applications around the world.”
“This is not counting the 30% tax that Apple and Google take from application developers, which, according to them, should pay for the resources necessary to test applications,” Mr. Durov recalled. He also emphasized that the damage caused by Apple to the technology industry will not be repaired.
