Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev held a meeting in Moscow with Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Law Enforcement Forces Sardar Ahmadreza Radan. About it informs TASS with reference to the press service of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
The press service clarified that the meeting discussed issues “related to the continuation of Russian-Iranian cooperation through the special services and law enforcement agencies.” Other details are not given.
Formerly Iranian Embassy in Russia reportedthat the meeting took place on 27 June. Radan paid a visit to Moscow at the invitation of the Russian side to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the field of law enforcement, the diplomatic mission specified. It was reported that the commander-in-chief of the Iranian law enforcement forces will also meet with the head of the National Guard, Viktor Zolotov.
June 26 Russian President Vladimir Putin spent telephone conversation with Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. In particular, the Iranian leader expressed full support for the Russian leadership in connection with the attempted armed rebellion on June 24th. Putin and Raisi also discussed cooperation in trade, energy and transport. In addition, the presidents touched upon issues of stability in the Transcaucasus and the Syrian settlement.
