Patrushev announced the West’s plans to create new hot spots around Russia

Western countries intend to create hot spots similar to Ukraine near the Russian borders, Moscow will not ignore such plans, stated Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev during his speech at the marathon of the “Knowledge” society as part of the exhibition-forum “Russia”.
“The West’s plans include creating hot spots along the perimeter of our borders, similar to the Ukrainian one. Russia, as a great power with its own national interests, closely monitors these attempts and does not leave them unattended,” Patrushev said (quoted by TASS).
The Security Council Secretary previously said that Western countries consider Russia a constant threat, so they will use all available means against it. Patrushev believes that this attitude is caused by the dismantling of the colonial system, which began after the Second World War. This process was also influenced by the achievements and victories of the Soviet Union, thanks to which “dozens of countries in the world gained independence,” the politician recalled.
In July Patrushev accused Western intelligence agencies in the financing of terrorist groups.
