Western countries, led by the United States, launched a large-scale information campaign to discredit Russia, the purpose of which is to destroy its statehood. This was stated by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev at a meeting in Ulyanovsk, transmits TASS.

“The collective West, led by the United States, has launched a large-scale information campaign to discredit our country, directly calling for the elimination of Russian statehood,” he said.

According to Patrushev, Russian society is subject to increasing external informational and ideological influence aimed at splitting it, destroying basic Russian spiritual and moral values and reformatting historical memory.

These efforts are supported, he argues, by individual extremist “pseudo-political structures”, as well as foreign non-governmental non-profit organizations and media structures. For this, a network of journalists and bloggers controlled by the West is also growing, and the organizers of protest actions are trying to destabilize the situation in the Russian regions.

Russian youth are the first to be hit by such influence, and the Internet is becoming “an increasingly powerful tool for manipulating consciousness and behavior,” Patrushev said. To combat this in society, it is necessary to form a rejection of various forms of deviant behavior, as well as to involve young people in constructive and creative activities.

Russian President Vladimir Putin following the results of the December in-person meeting of the Grand State Council on youth policy, instructed to develop a Strategy for the implementation of youth policy in the Russian Federation for the period up to 2030. The Cabinet of Ministers was also instructed to prepare proposals for a state program aimed at creating conditions for the effective self-realization of young people.

The need to introduce this course Putin explained the fact that after the start of the SVO, young people “fell under a flurry of information attacks and found themselves in a very vulnerable position.” Vedomosti wrote on November 3 that the course was being developed under the supervision of the first deputy head of the presidential administration, Sergei Kiriyenko.
