The Naval Cathedral in Kamchatka, which took 10 years to build, has been consecrated. The ceremony was conducted by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’. After this, the primate served the first liturgy in the new cathedral.
Residents of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, military sailors and government officials gathered for the service. The Governor of the Kamchatka Territory, Vladimir Solodov, also came.
The temple is located on the territory of the St. Panteleimon Monastery. It can simultaneously accommodate up to 500 people. The height of the structure is 41 meters.
