Armenia has not discussed the issue of joining NATO; only a cooperation program without accession is being prepared. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“We have not discussed and are not discussing the issue of joining NATO. We have partnership relations with NATO, and there is nothing new here. Previously, we had an individual partnership program, now it is being reformatted into a certain format of cooperation, it does not provide for membership,” Pashinyan said in an interview with The Telegraph.
He added that Armenia is a member of the CSTO. In addition, discussions are underway in Yerevan to what extent the bloc strategy meets the country’s interests in the future.
