Pasechnik took office as head of the LPR


Leonid Pasechnik officially took office as head of the Lugansk People's Republic after his candidacy was supported by parliament. The politician announced this in his Telegram channel.

“I took the oath of allegiance to the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the people, and officially took office as head of the Lugansk People’s Republic,” Pasechnik said.

As part of his address, he expressed gratitude to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his support, as well as to the leadership of United Russia, residents and deputies of the regional legislative assembly.

Among his main tasks as head of the region, he noted increasing the standard of living of the population, restoration and improvement, revival of mass housing construction, development of industry and agriculture.

Earlier, on September 23, Vladimir Saldo (Kherson region), Evgeniy Balitsky (Zaporozhye region) and Denis Pushilin (DPR) also assumed the positions of heads of new regions. All four previously served as acting heads of their respective regions.
