Pasechnik signed a decree on the demobilization of graduate students

Acting head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik signed a decree on the dismissal of mobilized graduate students from military service. Document published on the site of the head of the republic.

“To dismiss in December 2022 from military service citizens called up for military service for mobilization, studying according to <...> residency programs, assistantship-internship programs, as well as programs for the training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in graduate school,” the decree says.

The decree applies to full-time and part-time students, and they must also receive this level of education for the first time. If the serviceman does not want to leave, then a contract must be concluded with him and provided with academic leave for the entire period of service, follows from the text of the document.

The decree was approved by Pasechnik on 30 November. It enters into force from the date of signing.

Earlier, on November 28, the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin signed a similar decree on the demobilization of graduate students.

Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to dismiss students from military service on November 13. Five days later, acting heads of the DPR and LPR signed relevant decrees. According to the documents, students who study full-time and part-time forms of education should be demobilized from military service.

General military mobilization in the DPR and LPR was announced on February 19, then Pushilin called on “countrymen who are in reserve” to arrive at the military commissariat. This decision was made against the backdrop of constant violations of the ceasefire. Also, according to the head of the DPR, Kyiv had plans for a military offensive on uncontrolled territories.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
