Pasechnik banned the sale of alcohol in the front-line territories

Acting Head of the Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) Leonid Pasechnik signed decreeprohibiting the sale of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products in the frontline territories of the republic. The decree comes into force today, December 15.
Thus, it is forbidden to sell alcoholic beverages in the territories within the boundaries of the administrative-territorial subordination of the Kremensky, Popasnyansky and Svatovsky districts, as well as the cities of Lisichansk, Rubizhnoye and Severodonetsk.
The People’s Militia of the LPR, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the region and the head of the interim management body of the Federal Service of the Russian National Guard Troops in the LPR have been entrusted with monitoring compliance with the ban.
Regional authorities continue to impose targeted restrictions due to the increased military activity of Ukraine. In particular, in some areas of the LPR, the curfew has been extended, and the sale of alcohol has been limited in Zaporozhye.
On September 30, Russian President Vladimir signed an agreement on the accession to Russia of the LPR, as well as the Donetsk People’s Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions. Martial law has been introduced in four regions since October 20.
