Participants of the ski marathon in memory of I. P. Farkhutdinov on Sakhalin received starting numbers

The issuance of starter packs for participants of the XXIV Sakhalin ski marathon in memory of IP Farkhutdinov has started. Athletes are expected to receive starter packs at the Triumph ski and biathlon complex from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., the press service of the Ministry of Sports of the Sakhalin Region reported.
Yuri Pak came 10 minutes before the start of the issuance. Looking forward to March 11 – inventory and equipment have already been prepared. The man showed up for a distance of 50 kilometers.
“I am 60 years old. I also ran a marathon last year. Of course, I participate for my own pleasure, without applying for prizes. We are amateurs,” shared the marathon runner.
The organizers of the marathon have prepared branded starter packs. They included numbers, bandages, energy gels, a brochure with a schedule and information from partners.
“We came from the Amur region, we represent Novobureisk. We’ve been preparing all season. We are glad that we managed to come,” the athletes noted.
“Everyone comes in high spirits, they unpack packages with interest, they look at everything. There is very little time left before the start. Everyone is looking forward to it, both the organizers and the athletes,” the representatives of the marathon say.
On March 10, at 18:00, all participants of the Sakhalin Ski Marathon are expected to attend a briefing. It will take place at the Mega Palace Hotel, on the first floor (Markiz Restaurant). The organizers will give information about the passage of distances, regulations and answer the questions of the athletes.
