Participants of the Okulov forest half marathon collected 50 kg of toothbrushes for recycling

The forest Okulovsky half-marathon took place in the Novgorod region. The event was attended by 600 people from all over Russia.

Athletes ran on a dirt track among a pine forest.

An entertainment zone and a food court worked for all guests at the event.

Creative workshops on acrylic painting of ceramic cups, soap making and pastoring were held for young Novgorodians.

Separate waste collection was organized on the territory of the event – the organizers installed bins and collector containers for plastic toothbrushes.

On the day of the race, the athletes set a record and collected 50 kilograms of plastic toothbrushes for recycling, which will later turn into polymer-sand paving slabs for landscaping in Okulovka. This was reported in the press service of the government of the Novgorod region.
