Deputy of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrey Gurulev in a conversation with Ura.ru stated that partial mobilization depends on the ability of Russian industry to provide soldiers performing combat missions. According to him, a new wave of partial mobilization is possible only with an increase in the turnover of the country’s industry. Later, Mr. Gurulev refuted these words.

“Today, our industry is able to provide the grouping that is located in the NVO. If something is more, then it will be considered,” Andrey Gurulev said. He added that the main task today is to recruit contract soldiers for military service. According to him, “about 150 thousand people have already been recruited – this is the data for a week ago.”

After the publication of Ura.ru, Andrey Gurulev told the Telegram channel “Beware the News”that the publication gave a “stupid comment” and did not fully quote his words. “We have recruited 150 thousand and continue to recruit, not counting those who were mobilized. Therefore, today, this year for sure, no mobilization is planned, ”he told the channel’s correspondent.

President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilization on September 21, 2022. On October 31, he announced its completion, more than 300 thousand people were mobilized. There was no order to end the mobilization. The Russian authorities have repeatedly denied that there will be a second wave of mobilization.
