An accident on a power line, provoked by a strong squally wind, led to a blackout in part of Simferopol and nearby villages, the Crimean Ministry of Energy said.
According to experts, on the evening of May 21, the wind intensified in the region, damaging the power line. At 3:03 am, the power supply was fully restored.
The prosecutor’s office of the Crimea announced the verification of the causes of the accident on the networks.
The supervisory agency intends to assess compliance with the requirements of the law in the provision of services to the population, the timeliness of repairs, as well as the work of emergency services.
Recall that in 2020 the authorities of the peninsula announced that more than 110 billion rubles are needed for the development and modernization of the power grid complex of Crimea and Sevastopol.
