Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory at their meeting today adopted an appeal addressed to the Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin with a proposal to introduce amendments to the federal law “On the Responsible Treatment of Animals”. In 2022, the total budget expenditures of the Primorsky Territory “on the implementation of activities for the treatment of stray animals” amounted to over 100 million rubles, a fourfold increase compared to the previous year.
In early February of this year, the authorities of the Chuguevsky municipal district of Primorsky Krai introduced an emergency regime on the territory of the municipality. The decision was connected with cases of attacks by stray dogs on people in the central square of the village of Chuguevka.
