From January 1 to January 8, 2024, parking on all Moscow streets will be free, except for those with barriers. The capital’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced this in Telegram.
“This applies to all streets, including those where tariffs are 380 and 450 rubles. at one o’clock. Parking lots with barriers will continue to operate at their usual rates these days,” the mayor said.
There will be no fireworks in Moscow on New Year’s Eve and Christmas, Kommersant previously reported in the press service of the city Department of Culture. Moscow authorities made a similar decision accepted last year.
In mid-December, it became known that the authorities of Balashikha near Moscow refused to display New Year’s fireworks. Authorities of St. Petersburg approved New Year’s holiday program without restrictions.
