Paralympians from Khakassia won bronze at international competitions

According to the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, from February 29 to March 4, the international table tennis competition ITTF Asia Para Open 2024 was held in Astana (Republic of Kazakhstan). 140 athletes from 18 countries took part in the competition. Among those present were Tokyo Paralympic medalists.

From Khakassia, students of the republican sports school of the Paralympic reserve, masters of sports of Russia, members of the country’s sports team, repeated winners and prize-winners of international and all-Russian competitions Alexander Sokolov and Grigory Isakov under the coaching guidance of Irina Mordakina went to the competition.

Both athletes took third place in the individual competition. And in doubles, Grigory Isakov, together with a participant from Dagestan, Rasul Nazirov, won a bronze medal.
