Refugees from Palestine in Dagestan will soon begin to be issued passports and other identification documents, Chairman of the Government of the Republic Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov said at a meeting of the operational headquarters.
The Prime Minister recalled that 154 Palestinian residents arrived in the republic, including 82 under the age of 18, and they were housed on the territory of one of the seaside recreation centers.
“The total number of people of working age is 70 people,” quotes Prime Minister, press service of the government administration. – Everyone was examined by doctors, they were provided with basic necessities. A psychologist works on a permanent basis at the temporary accommodation center, but, as colleagues report, the condition and mood of the arriving citizens and the environment created around them are positive.”
Work is being carried out with refugees to determine their legal status on the territory of Russia and the possibility of obtaining domestic and foreign passports. Employees of the Migration Department of the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs accept applications and other necessary documents at the temporary accommodation point for the issuance of internal Russian passports, for carrying out the identification procedure with the subsequent issuance of passports, as well as for the restoration of a previously lost passport.
Citizens of Palestine will receive Russian citizenship, and citizens of Russia (including Palestinians who once studied in the Russian Federation, but recently lived in Palestine) will have their lost or expired passports restored.
