Pakistan invites Iranian Foreign Minister Abdollahian to visit Islamabad

The Iranian Foreign Ministry reported that Pakistan invited the head of the department, Hossein Abdollahian, to visit Islamabad.

Earlier, Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the country considers Iran its friend and would not like further escalation of the conflict. Baloch said that judging by the signals received from Iran, official Tehran adheres to a similar position.

Iran and Pakistan launched strikes on each other’s territory. Each side explained their actions as a counter-terrorism operation.
