Paid parking zone will expand in Moscow

From January 22, 2024, 50 new street sections will be included in Moscow’s paid parking zone, the Moscow Department of Transport announced on Friday.
We are talking about some streets in the Airport districts (Planetnaya, Sameda Vurguna, Aseeva, Chernyakhovskaya, Verkhnyaya Maslovka, Pistsovaya, Yunnatov, etc.) and Strogino (separate sections on Tallinskaya, Tvardovsky, Isakovsky, Marshal Katukov streets). In other areas, the fee is introduced point-by-point on sections of individual streets, in particular on the streets of Academician Korolev, Kondratyuk, Obruchev, Mitinskaya, Nakhimovsky Prospekt, Shchelkovskoye Highway, Andropov Avenue. 0.48% of the total number of places on the city’s road network will be paid, the Department of Transport clarified.
The changes will affect the busiest streets near large residential complexes, shopping and business centers, the department explained. The solution will reduce the arrival time of emergency services and increase the turnover of parking spaces. Local residents can apply for a resident parking permit, the Department of Transport reminded.
