Owners of commercial properties in Sevastopol will be subject to serious fines if they do not allow city residents to take shelter during an air raid, Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev said on the STV channel.
“All commercial spaces should also be provided as shelter. There is such a solution. If this does not happen, we will take action. The fines are quite serious for those who decide that this is his private property and he should not receive people there,” the governor said.
Sevastopol has been the target of repeated rocket attacks in recent weeks, some of which were successful for the Ukrainian armed forces, which managed to hit the Sevmorzavod and the Black Sea Fleet headquarters building. In addition, the city recently burst out scandal after the incident at the Fishermen’s Palace of Culture, when people were not allowed in during an air raid.
