Overhaul of the house of architects Bibikov and Blokhin completed on Makeeva Street

In house 2, building 1, on Sergey Makeev Street, major repairs have been completed. In the historic building built in 1931, the facade was updated, the roofing was replaced, the entrances, basements, and internal engineering systems were put in order.

This residential building was erected in the constructivist style by famous architects B. Blokhin and V. Bibikov. The façade is decorated with multi-format windows with architraves, the building ends with a stretched rectangular profile belt. The geometry of the house is subordinated to functionality, its aesthetics are simple, elegant and concise. This object is part of the architectural ensemble “Nizhnyaya Presnya” – the town-planning project was implemented in the 20-30s of the last century. His concept was to create a new space for the life of citizens, which has both rich infrastructure and thoughtful design.

“Constructivism is a striking architectural style of the early 20th century, which is often found among the housing stock of the capital. House number 2, building 1, on Sergey Makeev Street is a bright representative of constructivism. We have made great efforts to update it. It was important to preserve the original beauty of the object. We developed a unique project for the work, taking into account all the nuances. We have selected materials and technologies that are most suitable for the repair of this house. Of course, we paid special attention to putting the façade in order,” said Vladimir Kozhichenkov, Deputy General Director of the Moscow FCR.

Before proceeding with the repair and painting of the facade, the walls of the building were cleared of dirt, and the wet spots were treated with an antiseptic composition. Then the plaster layer was renewed, the cracks were repaired, the seams were sewn up. When choosing paint, the historical color scheme was taken into account, the walls of the building were painted in the usual light brown color.

Specialists repaired the basement and replaced the entrance groups. The house has new entrance doors – aesthetic and comfortable. In common areas, modern plastic windows have been installed that meet all modern energy efficiency standards. The house has new flag holders, drains, a beautiful blind area.

The Moscow Capital Improvement Program is one of the largest housing modernization projects not only in Russia, but in the world. The program includes more than 28,500 houses with a total area of ​​more than 275 million square meters. m, in which it is planned to repair more than 355 thousand engineering systems and structural elements of buildings and replace more than 112 thousand elevators.

To clarify the timing and types of work under the overhaul program, so-called short-term implementation plans are drawn up. For 2021-2023, such a plan has already been approved. It included 4437 houses of the capital with a total area of ​​34.2 million square meters. In 2023, repairs will begin in 2.3 thousand houses.
