Overhaul of schools in the Bryansk region

Preparation for the new academic year, in particular the overhaul of schools, was under constant control of the leadership of the Bryansk region. More than once, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, at meetings considered the issue of overhaul in schools.

In total, this year the federal school overhaul program, initiated by the United Russia party and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, included 30 schools in the Bryansk region. So, in the regional center – the city of Bryansk, the repair of the municipal budgetary educational institution “Secondary School No. 2 named after D.E. Kravtsov. According to the director of the school, Elena Danilova, as part of the overhaul, general construction work was completed on all four floors of the school (plastering, painting and cladding in the premises, recreation areas, corridors, sanitary facilities and utility rooms). The school also replaced the ventilation system, completely replaced the internal water supply and sewerage networks, and replaced the heating system. The fire alarm system was installed and electrical work was carried out (replacement of lighting fixtures, switchgears, re-equipment of switchboard rooms, partial replacement of electrical wiring).

In addition, major repairs were made to the roof of the main building and the assembly hall. The appearance of the school has also been updated – a complex of works has been carried out on facing the facade of the building, as well as the arrangement of the central entrance and the repair of the blind area around the perimeter of the building.

Another educational institution that has been overhauled this year is the Glinishchevskaya secondary school of the Bryansk region, located in the administrative center – in the village of Glinishchevo.

“Our school is one of the oldest schools in the Bryansk region. Here, the electrical wiring, heating, sewerage and plumbing systems, fire alarms were replaced, the old floors were replaced with new ones, the walls, ceilings, and facade were finished according to modern technologies and requirements. New school furniture, modern equipment for classrooms and premises were purchased. The progress of the repair work was monitored by specialists and public control. Discussions were held with students, parents and teaching staff on the design of classrooms, the selection of colors and the choice of new furniture,” said Elena Matalygo, director of the school, about the work done.
