In 2023, 13,287 residents of the Oryol region took part in passing the GTO standards. This was announced at a meeting with the heads of municipalities, which was held by the regional governor Andrei Klychkov.
As the press service of the regional government noted, 1,688 more people took part in passing the standards than in the previous year. This indicates the growing popularity of the program and the great interest of residents in sports. 5,810 Oryol residents successfully passed the insignia. This is 1,820 more people than in 2022.
Among other things, at the end of 2023, testing centers were opened in the Krasnozorensky and Khotynetsky districts, where residents of the region can undergo GTO tests. The total number of testing centers has reached 29, they are located in all municipalities of the region. This allows Oryol residents to test their physical fitness more conveniently and easily.
The head of the region, Andrei Klychkov, noted that it is necessary to continue to promote an increase in the number of Oryol residents taking part in passing the GTO standards, especially among young people. Participation in such programs helps not only to receive various benefits, but also to take the path of a healthy lifestyle.
