More than 800 young athletes took part in the Epiphany Frosts ski race. The traditional competitions took place in Krasnogorsk at the Zorkiy stadium. The press service of the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports of the Moscow Region reports this. Ski races “Epiphany Frosts” in honor of the famous coach Sergei Veselov have been held at the Zorkiy stadium for more than 20 years.
Pupils of sports schools aged 8 to 14 years from Krasnogorsk, Khimki, Podolsk, Dubna and Odintsovo took part in the races. Young athletes covered distances in the classical style from 700 meters to 3 kilometers.
You can find out the results of the first race on the website of the Ministry of Physical Education and Sports of the region. The second stage of the competition will take place in Krasnogorsk on February 11. Pupils of preschool institutions in the Moscow region will take part in it.
