As part of the import substitution policy, the capital’s GalVent Ventilation Factory launched the production of ventilation systems with a diameter of 80 mm. Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Department for Investment and Industrial Policy of Moscow, spoke about the work of the factory.
“Most often, products with a diameter of 100 millimeters or more are available to customers, while the Moscow plant has mastered the production of pipes, bends and other parts with a diameter of 80 millimeters,” Vladislav Ovchinsky said. He also stressed that previously a company from Europe that had left the Russian market was engaged in the supply of such systems.
Small diameter ventilation systems save up to two cm of subceiling space when installed behind ceilings and can be built into the walls of block houses. The systems are suitable not only for high-rise and low-rise buildings, but also for private houses.
According to the CEO of the company, at the beginning of 2023, the design department of the plant developed and tested the new technology in the shortest possible time. “The plant has set itself the goal of completely replacing imported ventilation products with a diameter of 80 mm with the help of its own production. Now ventilation systems are supplied to the market and are in high demand,” Kirill Prakhov summed up.
Earlier, Moscow gave the company a lease of land in the southeast without bidding for the construction of a plant for the production of ventilation equipment.
