Ovchinsky: ceramic refractory materials manufacturer’s revenue tripled

Last year, the Moscow-based manufacturer of ceramic refractory materials was able to increase its revenue by a third. Previously, the company received a loan of 200 million rubles from the city. The funds were used to purchase a hydraulic press, a grinding machine, electric furnaces and other installations. They contributed to the increase in the production capacity of special ceramics.

“According to the results of last year, the growth of the capital’s manufacturing industry exceeded 10%. At the same time, the city’s enterprises improved other economic indicators of their activities,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.

He added that the Bakor Scientific and Technical Center in the capital increased its revenue by almost a third at the end of the year. This became possible due to the modernization and increase in the capacity of the enterprise. Earlier, thanks to a loan issued by the Moscow Industry and Entrepreneurship Support Fund, the plant launched a new workshop and purchased equipment to replace imports of refractories and filter ceramics.

According to Roman Dorodnykh, Production Director of Bakor Scientific and Technical Center, thanks to the purchase of equipment, the productivity of the crushing shop was increased, and the output of one of the types of filter elements manufactured at the enterprise increased by 30%. Also, a new workshop for the production of casting molds was equipped and a section for packaging foundry equipment was automated.
