Ovchinsky: a shopping center with panels of different materials will appear in the south of Moscow

An architectural concept has been developed for the new Sreda shopping center. The facade of the building will combine natural and industrial images.
“This year, Moscow signed an agreement with an investor to create places of employment in the south of the capital. The developer, which is part of the Strana Development structure, will build a shopping center with an area of eight thousand square meters on Elevatornaya Street. In order for it to fit organically into the development of the area, metal panels, glass surfaces that reflect the sky, as well as wood-like panels will be used on the facades. The company will invest more than 774 million rubles in the implementation of the project,” said Vladislav Ovchinsky, Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department.
Delivery of the facility is scheduled for March 2025. About 430 people will work in the shopping center. Parking for 111 cars will be equipped next to the building. Visitors and residents of the area can relax on the benches in the shade of trees or on the terrace under umbrellas.
“The shopping center will be lined with light wood and dark cassettes. Shops and supermarkets will be located on the first floor of the shopping center, and a food court and an entertainment center will be located on the second floor. On the roof, it is planned to create a conceptual multifunctional public space with a recreation area for visitors,” said Alexander Gaidukov, president of the development company Strana Development.
Recall that the program to create places of employment was launched in the capital in 2020.
