“Kommersant Style” – about what a “clean” manicure is and what options are currently relevant.

After the New Year’s brightness of excesses, manicures in neutral shades begin to return. However, this expected turn of the fashion wheel is actually more than just another nail polish color change. If you’ve heard of “clean” makeup, then you know that it’s about glowing, super-groomed, smooth skin. Now the same requirements have begun to be put forward for manicure – sleek hands, flesh-colored nails, or if nail art, then very minimalistic, are in fashion. On social networks there are numerous videos with meticulous care for cuticles and nails: careful scrubbing, application of oils, expensive La Mer or Chanel creams – all of this suddenly seems new today, because the skin of the hands has not been looked after so carefully since the early 2000s and the trend for everything “natural and holistic.”

Then it was replaced by a wave of everything fast, which essentially became a sign of the general trend to save time: three-in-one cosmetics, super-fast file manicure with four-hand pedicure are its brightest manifestations. It’s unlikely that everyone has more time now, it’s just that self-care has come to the fore, and such “beauty of nails” has become one of the ways to meditate, return the feeling of contact with your body, that very notorious awareness. “Manicure without manicure” suits everyone – these are transparent shades of soft pink, apricot, milky white and light color accents, with flawless cuticles – discreet chic, like your own nails, only better.
