Oryol student won silver at major athletics competitions

This year, at the traditional “Christmas starts – Memorial E.S. Yalamov” in Yekaterinburg, famous athletes from different parts of Russia participated. One of the brightest participants was the representative of the Oryol region, Timofey Goloktionov, who managed to win a silver medal in the 3 thousand meter race.
The sporting event, which is being held at the Luch sports complex in Yekaterinburg for the 33rd time, brought together about 150 athletes from 32 regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus. They all wanted to demonstrate their high level of preparation and compete for the title of winner.
Orlov resident Timofey Goloktionov did not leave anyone indifferent with his skills and performance in the race. Showing a result of 8 minutes 17.61 seconds, he managed to take second place and receive a well-deserved silver medal. A few seconds behind was the athlete from the Trans-Baikal Territory, Anton Chepizubov, who became third.
However, the winner of the race was Vladimir Nikitin, who was more than 20 seconds ahead of Timofey Goloktionov, his result was 7 minutes 55.37 seconds. Thus, Goloktionov could not overtake the leader, but still demonstrated high training and athletic achievements.
It should be noted that Timofey Goloktionov is currently continuing his studies at the Central Russian Institute of Management, a branch of RANEPA, in the field of training “Information Systems and Technologies”. He is not only a successful athlete, but also an active student seeking to develop in different areas of his life.
