Oryol boxers continue to perform successfully in tournaments of various ranks

Boxers from Orel continue to achieve success in competitions at various levels. Last week, athletes from our region won two gold and one silver medals at the Dzerzhinsky Open Cup.

According to the regional telegram channel Orlovskaya Lastochka, about 120 boxers from the Oryol, Moscow and Vladimir regions took part in the competition. Akim Kuznetsov and Daniil Ashikhmin took the highest level of honor. Both athletes received gold medals for excellent performances. The second place was taken by Konstantin Ryzhkov, having received a silver award.

But that is not all. At the tournament, which took place in the Moscow region, another boxer from Orel, Maxim Polovinkin, won a silver medal. The competitions were dedicated to the memory of the legendary boxer, front-line soldier, Vitaly Ostroverkhov.

More than 200 people from 38 regions of the country took part in the tournament. Orlovsky boxer demonstrated his high skills and received well-deserved recognition.

However, among women there are worthy representatives of Oryol boxing. Olga Menshchikova became a silver medalist at the Central Federal District Championship among women, which took place in Suzdal. The girl showed her good shape and received well-deserved recognition.

Thus, the Oryol region once again confirmed its status as one of the leaders in the boxing world. We hope that our athletes will continue to delight us with their victories and deserve new awards at international tournaments.
