Daria Kononova, a native of Orel, received a bronze medal during the All-Russian competition in sports orientation. The athlete took third place in the cross-classic discipline with a general start. This was reported on the official website of the regional government.
The orienteering competition itself was held in the city of Gelendzhik under the name “Black Sea-2023”.
On the first day, the participants competed in cross-classics in the vicinity of the Tekos village. The second day of the event was marked by a crossover competition near the village of Aderbievka. There were also cross-long and multi-day cross-country competitions.
As a result, Daria Kononova from Orlovka entered the Russian championship in sports orientation, which will be held in Perm on May 2-9.
