Orel residents won 8 medals at the Central Federal District boxing championship in Korolev

As part of the Central Federal District (CFD) boxing championship, held in Korolev, Oryol girls demonstrated incredible results, winning 8 medals and 6 trips to the Russian Championship. This was reported in the regional Department of Physical Culture and Sports.
About 200 athletes from 17 different regions took part in the competition. Among the participants were girls in the age categories of 13-14, 15-16 years old, as well as juniors from 17 to 22 years old. Ten representatives of the Oryol region entered the competition for the title of the best, and eight of them were able to reach the podium.
The main winner of the Central Federal District championship was Victoria Kovaleva. In addition to her, Anastasia Kovaleva, Svetlana Tuvakova, Ksenia Bashakina, Elizaveta Kalmykova, Liliya Novikova, Alexandra Pozdnyakova and Kira Zernushkina also took the honorary steps of the podium.
It is important to note that the success of female athletes is impossible without the sensitive guidance of experienced coaches. In the case of Oryol champions and prize-winners, this is a coaching staff consisting of Dmitry Seletsky, Vladimir Petrov, Nazim Bayramov, Vladimir Morozov, Alexey Grishin and Dmitry Budin, who not only teach them technique and tactics, but also inspire them to high achievements.
