In Orel, the First Interregional Judo Tournament, dedicated to the memory of the Honorary Citizen of the Oryol Region Ivan Mosyakin, ended. More than 140 boys and girls took part in major competitions. For the right to be called the strongest, they fought in two age categories: under 13 and under 15. By the way, judoists from Belgorod, Gubkin, Bryansk, Lipetsk, Tula and the Donetsk People’s Republic came to the competition. Of course, there were participants from the Oryol region.
As a result of the competition, 30 sets of awards were presented. The winners and prize-winners received diplomas, medals and cups. As the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Orel Region notes on its page on the social network VKontakte, the first place in the team standings in two age groups was taken by a team from the city of Orel.
Note that on July 1, 2023, Ivan Yakovlevich Mosyakin would have turned 76 years old. The memory of the outstanding Oryol citizen was honored with a minute of silence before the opening of the tournament.
