Orban: Ukraine can fight as long as the US supports it

Ukraine is able to continue fighting as long as Washington supports Kyiv with money and arms supplies, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said. He expressed this opinion in interview newspaper Magyar Nemzet.

“Ukraine can only fight as long as the US supports it with money and weapons. If Americans want peace, there will be peace,” the politician said.

According to him, in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, Hungary adheres to its own position and stands on the side of the Hungarians. The republic looks at this issue through a “Hungarian lens,” Orban said.

“We are helping Ukraine, it is in our interest to keep a sovereign Ukraine, and it is in our interest that Russia does not pose a threat to the security of Europe, but it is not in our interest to abandon all our economic relations with Russia,” the prime minister said.
