Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said at a press conference that he accepted Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s offer for a meeting.
According to Sky News, Orban said this will be a bilateral meeting “at some point in the future.”
If the summit takes place, it will be the first official meeting between the leaders of Hungary and Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict.
At the same time, Orban noted that it remains only to clarify what issue to discuss at these negotiations. He explained that Zelensky wanted to discuss Ukraine’s application to join the EU, but Hungary strongly opposes this step.
