Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the air of the radio station Kossuth said that the invitation of Ukraine to the North Atlantic Alliance would lead to the start of a new world war.
He clarified that the leaders of Western countries did the right thing by refraining from such a step at the NATO summit.
“In the event that Kyiv was accepted into NATO, this would mean an immediate world war,” Orban said.
According to him, militant sentiments in favor of continuing the conflict in Ukraine still prevail in some Western countries.
