Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban expressed the opinion that the leadership of the European Union needs to respect the sovereignty of European nations. In an interview with HirTV, he stressed that while cooperation and joining forces are important for Hungary, it should not strive to create a superpower that treats member states as “provinces.”
Orban noted that Brussels must respect the sovereignty of nations, provide countries with the opportunity to independently determine their development paths and take into account their cultural traditions. According to the Prime Minister, it is necessary to create a department that regulates the market without interfering in the lives of individual nationalities. The Hungarian leader emphasized that his country does not seek to leave the European Union, but to transform it.
