The European Union needs Georgia because of its strategic location. This opinion was expressed to the Georgian media by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on the sidelines of the European Political Community summit in Granada, Spain.
The Hungarian politician called Georgia’s lack of EU candidate status unfair. He explained that the Georgian authorities have done a great job. The country is “really needed” by the European Union because of its strategic location.
Viktor Orban said that the EU is simply tired of expansion, and European leaders are too selfish to provide Georgia with the necessary financial resources.
