Opponents of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) tried to seize the cathedral in the city of Kamenetz-Podolsky, Khmelnytsky region of Ukraine. This was reported on the website of the UOC.
“An attempt is being made to capture the cathedral in Kamenetz-Podolsk. According to eyewitnesses from the scene, the police do not respond to calls,” the report says.
They also claim that they are trying to hand subpoenas to those who protect the temple. Divine services are held in the temple, and believers also pray on the territory next to it.
Earlier, Metropolitan Pavel, the governor of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra, was placed under house arrest for two months. Also on Sunday, the head of the OCU, Epiphanius, held a service in the Lavra.
