The head of a village in the Krasnodar Territory had the right to issue subpoenas to local residents, the regional headquarters said.
“The powers of local self-government, which include the administrations of rural settlements, provide for the implementation of primary military registration,” the operational headquarters’ telegram channel says.
They added that this is regulated by federal law and, in particular, also applies to alerting the reserve in accordance with the assignment of the military registration and enlistment office. The head of the village “performed the work within the framework of her authority.”
Previously reportedNatalya Zheltobryukhova, the head of the settlement rural settlement, herself wrote out subpoenas to local residents due to the fact that the military registration and enlistment office was allegedly too busy. The administration of the settlement said that otherwise “no one would have come.”
