On Sunday, June 18, an open yoga training will be held on the square near the Drama Theater in Tomsk. This was reported by the press service of the regional administration.
This event is timed to coincide with the celebration of the IX International Day of Yoga.
Well-known Tomsk instructor Alexei Sartakov will conduct a group training. Representatives of leading local yoga centers will also speak. Anyone can visit the event.
International Yoga Day was established by the UN General Assembly at the end of 2014. It was first celebrated on June 21, 2015. Tomsk has also been celebrating this day for eight years: the regional administration, together with the Indian Embassy in the Russian Federation and the Indian company Nord Imperial, holds a group yoga class every year. An exception was made only during the coronavirus pandemic.
