Open water swimming competitions ended in Sochi. 350 athletes from the resort and other Russian cities took part in the competition.
Swimmers were offered to overcome three distances: 1,000 and 2,300 meters, as well as 5 kilometers. They were selected so that athletes of different levels of training could take part in the competition. Also, according to the Sochi press service, this was facilitated by gentle climatic conditions.
The winners of the competition received exclusive medals from the organizers. The final of the federal competition was timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Kuban from the fascist invaders.
