Online Mathematics Olympiad starts for Moscow schoolchildren

The Center for Pedagogical Excellence of the Moscow Department of Education and Science invites students from grades 1 to 5 to the online Olympiad “I Love Mathematics”. You can register for it until March 28.

The participants of the competition will have to solve problems of various levels of complexity and different directions, for example, to plot the optimal route of movement, answer questions from the neural network, program robots and install protection in the room. According to the organizers of the Olympiad, its participants will be able to receive points even if they partially coped with the task. This approach will reduce the children’s lack of confidence in their abilities, to believe in their mathematical knowledge and abilities.

60 minutes are allotted for solving the problems of the Olympiad. You can complete the task on a desktop computer or mobile phone. According to the scientific director of the Center for Pedagogical Excellence Ivan Yashchenko, the tasks of the Olympiad “I love mathematics”, which contain a bright game element, will definitely be able to captivate the participants.

– It is worth remembering that interest in learning and curiosity are formed in elementary school. And we are waiting not only for those guys who already love mathematics, but also for those who are not yet very close to it. It is important that the tasks will help awaken their interest in this subject, because today it will definitely come in handy for every student, and in high school in Moscow, many opportunities have been created for schoolchildren to study mathematics at an in-depth level – for example, the Mathematical Vertical project, – said Ivan Yashchenko .

After completing the task of the Olympiad, all its participants, firstly, will be able to receive certificates, and secondly, they will see the analysis of tasks in their personal account.
